They play 60 ' base paths and pitch from a distance of 46'.

Games consist of 6 innings or a 1 hr and 45 minute time limit for league games.

Players build and refine their fundamental skills while beginning to understand game strategy and teamwork.

Some participants get to experience post season tournament competition when selected to play on an all-star team.

The Major Division is recommended for 11-12 year old players.

They play 70' base paths and pitch from a distance of 50'.

To encourage the league to train more pitchers and keep players safe there are rules that set the maximum number of innings a pitcher may pitch in a calendar week.

Players can also lead off and steal in the Major division.

The Major Division also plays 6 innings or 1 hour and 45 minute time limit during league play.

The Major Division format includes a tournament trail for the all-stars that includes State, Regionals and then the World Series.

Cal Ripken Minors and Majors start practices in mid April and start playing games the beginning of May.

Games are played on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday afternoons at 3:00 p.m. until Mid-June.
